In sepia, that would look like vintage, especially if you added some noise or something.
But yeah. I had a pretty uninspired day too.
I wonder how this would look with a wider apeture setting like 2.8 or more? Then either leave in or crop out the bokeh. I really like your ideas.
I like the junk drawer shot. Not everything didn't work.
not sure if i mentioned steve - but i prefer pictures that "dont work" - not sure if you're including this one in that bracket, but i love irregularities or off contrast pictures. out of focus or strange in some way. i really like this one and cant see any flaws - or what i would consider a flaw, which might only be a boring or static shot. i like the close up too
actually, kinda reminds me of a photo i took of leaves many years ago - maybe i can find it and post it

I did try sepia, but didn't like it as well.

I did try a wider aperture, but didn't have my filter on at the same time. I should go back and try that again.

I know what you mean about photographs that don't work. (Especially other peoples photos that don't work. haha). I do consider this as a photo that didn't work, but I'm still not sure why. I think it might be all the galvanized nails that cut down on the reflection. Perhaps a bunch of nails that are not galvanized may be more interesting. I'm not sure.
