Week 24, Day 172, October 12, 2009, Fall Ivy at an Ivy League School

The ivy on the sides of the buildings at Cornell changing into their fall colors.  This ivy is on the side of the Staler Hotel, which is part of the Hotel School at Cornell University.

We're starting to lose more and more of our leaves.  Soon, Fall will be behind us, and winter will begin.

In addition to the colors, I like the texture of the rock, and the vines between the leaves.  I don't think this is a typical Fall scene.

Lessons Learned:
  • Some days you it seems that you don't learn a thing.  This might be one of them.
Photo details: Exposure time 1/30 sec, Aperture f/8, ISO 400, Focal Length 40 mm, 35 mm equivalent focal length 65mm, Lens Canon EF 17-40mm, handheld.

Beautiful picture. Ivy is one of my prefered.
the colors are fantastic, this photo is god for calendar.

Steve the birds is "Crow". they are here hundreds. the best shoot is to dark, because I had settings for sunset. I like how this bird fly, with the wind what we have here a days is graceful.

Sometimes you ate in the "mood" for photography - and see a lot. Sometimes you are not. It is as simple as that.

PS But I liked it anyhow.
