Lessons Learned:
- I think that color can sometimes distract from the shapes and textures. At first I was using black and white for this photo, but I think that sepia worked even better.
With this blog I have begun a journey to improve my photography skills. My goal is to take photos everyday, and post my favorite photo from that day on this blog. So far, I have learned a lot, and try to share my experiences. Many of you have made comments on the blog, via email, or when you see me in person. I really appreciate all of them. I learn a lot from each of you. I hope that you will join me in my journey, and help me along the way. I have so much to learn.

You're definitely right about the sepia. Black & white seems too cold for something as tropical as a pineapple.
I must admit I'm not a big fan of food photography but pineapples look really interesting. I think you did a great job on this.
pineapples and blueberries are like GOD's gift to humanity :)
What an interesting shot! I really like what the sepia does to it - not sure I would have even thought of doing that! Good work!
What a great subject! Pineapples. I would have never thought of it. Nice job.
