I like the contrast of the green with the dead wood, and the dark cavern around the tree.
Lessons Learned:
- Be Observant.
- I need a circular polarizer filter for my 50 mm lens.
With this blog I have begun a journey to improve my photography skills. My goal is to take photos everyday, and post my favorite photo from that day on this blog. So far, I have learned a lot, and try to share my experiences. Many of you have made comments on the blog, via email, or when you see me in person. I really appreciate all of them. I learn a lot from each of you. I hope that you will join me in my journey, and help me along the way. I have so much to learn.

It's so true. I've seen trees and plants growing in the most amazing places. Nice capture Steve!
That's awesome! Looks straight out of a photography magazine. Another one worth printing.
Lots going on here... textures, lines, patterns, life, death, life within the death. It's crazy beautiful.
stunning. this is what nature gives us, if only we open our eyes.
There's a tree near bebe lake that's growing out of the pavement. It's pretty cool.
